NSW: Three Villawood escapees recaptured
SYDNEY, Feb 14 AAP - Police have recaptured another of the five detainees who escapedfrom Sydney's Villawood detention centre this morning.
The detainee, the third to be recaptured, was found near the Villawood Bowling Clubabout 12.30 (AEDT), an Immigration Department spokeswoman said.
Two escapees were earlier found in the nearby Curtis and Ashton Road area.
The spokeswoman said the man had been apprehended by NSW police and department officers.
"All three were located in the vicinity of the Villawood Bowling Club," she said.
"They are all believed to be Chinese nationals but we haven't confirmed that yet."
No further details had emerged about injuries sustained by an Australasian CorrectionalManagement (ACM) employee who was attacked during the breakout.
"He was taken to hospital so I am presuming he has got some injuries but I don't knowwhat," the spokeswoman said.
Australian Federal Police were now investigating the escape and alleged assault, she said.
