BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq - Iraq's Minister of Labor & Social Affairs, Nassar al-Rubei, has announced on Wednesday that the allocations for social protection in his country has covered 980,000 Iraqi families, but said that the foreign labor force was one of the basic reasons for unemployment in the country.
"The amount located for the Social Protection Network was 137 billion (b) Iraqi dinars, covering 980,000 families, whilst the number of families raised by the Ministry of Labor & Social Affairs had been one million and 171,000 families," the Minister told the daily "Al-Bayan" newspaper on Wednesday.
