Land acquisition is nearly complete along traffic- clogged Crescent Road near Northway Exit 8 to allow widening and other improvements considered critical, according to town and Saratoga County officials.
The major part of the project may be bid by March, according to county Public Works Director Joseph Ritchey.
The work, totaling about $600,000, had been scheduled last year, but was held up by problems in acquiring land.
It is not uncommon to see cars backed up from Crescent Road onto the driving lane of the Northway during evening rush hour.
