NSW: Businessman will take legal action against One Nation
A prominent Chinatown businessman says he'll take legal action against One Nation in New
South Wales after a Queensland court's deregistration of the party's Queensland branch because
of fraudulent membership claims.
Anti-PAULINE HANSON activist CHUCK HONG says he'll seek a similar deregistration in NSW and
ask the courts to declare invalid the election of One Nation state upper house MP DAVID
OLDFIELD.
He claims he has information that One Nation in NSW was registered in almost an identical
manner as in Queensland.
He says the latest legal action in NSW should begin in about three weeks and will attempt
to force One Nation to return $553,000 in public funds it received after the election.
Brisbane Supreme Court judge ROSLYN ATKINSON has ruled One Nation's registration as a
political party in Queensland last year was invalid because it was induced by fraud and
misrepresentation.
She's found there was electoral fraud by the party's leadership team Mr OLDFIELD, PAULINE
HANSON and DAVID ETTRIDGE.
